In conjunction with the 1st anniversary of the launch of Teaching Connections,  we present the inaugural episode of the Teaching Connections Podcasts,  in which NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye shares his thoughts on interdisciplinary education and how NUS will deliver interdisciplinary education through the establishing of colleges such as the College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS). 

In the first episode of the Teaching Connections Podcasts, we are privileged to have NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye share his insights on interdisciplinary education. In particular, with the NUS College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS) welcoming its inaugural cohort in the coming Academic Year, we hear from Prof Tan the reasons NUS is embarking on this bold teaching and learning direction, what it intends to achieve through the implementation of interdisciplinary education, and how we are creating a safe, effective, and conducive learning environment. 

 This episode is chaired by Dr Dujeepa Samarasekera, Director of the Centre for Development of Teaching and Learning (CDTL).

Professor TAN Eng Chye was appointed President of the National University of Singapore (NUS) on 1 January 2018. He is the University’s 5th president, and the 23rd leader to head Singapore’s oldest higher education institution. Read more
