Submission Guidelines

Please refer to the submission guidelines below and send your submission to celcsotl@nus.edu.sg.

Submit a Research Article

Note the following when preparing a research article:

  • Papers are normally compiled in this way but variations are welcome: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method(s), Results, Discussion, References, Appendices (as appropriate). Table(s) and figure (s) can be left in the running text where they should appear, and all should be with caption(s) below them. If you wish to provide acknowledgments, you may, at the end, before the reference list.
  • Refer to themes on the site for the paper.
  • Ensure student consent is obtained if student data is used: evidence may be requested before publication.
  • Use APA 7th edition referencing style.

The journal accepts two types of article

  • Full length of around 7000 words.
  • Around 4000 words for case studies of pedagogical research with focus on the impact of an intervention on student learning.

 

Submit a Blog Post

Note the following when preparing a blog post:

  • Attach title to the post
  • Include context, issue, and actions taken/future directions (these need to be underpinned by literature)
  • Refer to themes on the site to write your post
  • Ensure student consent is obtained if student data is used
  • Use APA 7th edition referencing style
  • Post submission should be no less than 300 words

 

Submit a Podcast Episode

Note the following when preparing a Podcast episode:

  • Attach episode title to the podcast
  • Include episode description of 100 to 500 words
  • Refer to themes on the site to create your podcast
  • Ensure student consent is obtained if student data is used
  • Use APA 7th edition referencing style
  • Episode submission should be between 3 and 5 minutes
  • A transcript can also be provided if required

 

Submit a Book Review

  • Provide a description of the book and the pedagogical context in which it is situated
  • Provide an evaluation of its strengths and weaknesses
  • Suggest who might benefit most from the work
  • Use APA 7th edition referencing style.
  • Review submission should be about 1000 words
