Embark on a journey of self-discovery

Have you ever wondered who you really are and how you have turned out?
Have you ever wondered whether others may share some experiences that you had?
Have you ever felt that no one understands you?
Have you ever felt uncomfortable speaking in a group?

Spend 6 weeks (1.5 – 2 hours per week) discovering what makes you tick by taking time to reflect on your life and sharing your stories.

It is also a wonderful opportunity to practise your communication skills in a safe supportive environment of between 6-8 receptive participants.

Each participant writes a two-page story on a particular theme each week, brings the story to class and reads it to the group.

Writing and sharing life stories with others is a way to discover your life afresh and to put life events into perspective.

While connecting with one another in this journey of self-discovery, participants feel enlivened by the group experience and gain a greater appreciation of their own lives and of the lives of others.

Time:  Wednesdays for 6 weeks commencing February, 11.30 am to 1 pm
Venue:  Counselling and Psychological Services, UHC

Email munritan@nus.edu.sg for a short screening if interested.

Experience ways to relax and replace stress

This semester’s meditation series begins with an introductory session to meditation by facilitator Ms Anne Chiang, who has many years of experience with several forms of meditation. We are thankful to Ms Chiang for volunteering her services to our students.

Interestingly, the meditation series has helped many students to perform better and gain valuable insights into their personal lives. Many of  them have also been regularly attending the sessions since the series started some years ago.

A number of exciting meditation sessions are being lined up for this semester, including meditations that involve sounds, colours and dance.

So start the year right and come for the introductory session this Thursday, 20 Jan, to find out more!
