Tamil Murasu presented Dr S.P. Thinnappan, Fellow in the South Asian Studies Programme, the inaugural ‘Lifelong Inspiring Teacher Award’. Selected with the help of the Singapore Tamil Teachers’ Union, Dr Thinappan was clearly moved by the award and said:

“We may have retired. But this award inspires us further.”
