The FASS Awards Ceremony held in LT8 on 14 August 2009 was a celebration of excellence, service and dedication. Alumni who served on the Financial Aid, Bursary and Scholarship Committee were honoured with a special gift from the Faculty.

The night also recognised the dedicated service of FASS staff who had served the University for a period of 10 to 40 years. One of them was our Dean, Professor Tan Tai Yong, who has been with us for 25 years. We also want to congratulate him on his National Day Award – The Public Administration Medal (Silver)!

Finally, proud parents, relatives and friends saw their loved one receive the fruits of their achievements. These are students who had done exceptionally well in the academics, winning medals, book prizes or a coveted place on the Dean’s list.

The lovely evening ended with an entertaining performance by the NUS Wind Symphony and a delicious dinner spread.

Again, we salute all recipients of these awards. You are truly outstanding!
