It was reported that Mr Ashik Ashokan, a Communications and New Media student at NUS, and his friend Mr Ashok Kumar had completed a 21-day trek up the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal to raise $50,000 for the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) in Singapore, to mark the movement’s 50th anniversary.
