The New Indian Express

This was an article contribution by Mr Himanshu Jha, a doctoral candidate with the South Asian Studies Programme at the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, on the outcome of the 2014 elections in India. He noted that there were a few “firsts” in this election and pointed out the policy challenges faced by the new government in five areas.
