Congratulations to Prof Brenda Yeoh

 

 

DSC_8024__raw (2)Congratulations to FASS  Dean Professor Brenda Yeoh for her appointment to the Ramphal Commission on Migration and Development.

From October 2009, Professor Brenda Yeoh has been appointed for two years to the Ramphal Commission on Migration and Development, one of the first two Commissions, on international policy issues of particular interest to the Commonwealth, which are being promoted by the Ramphal Centre in London. Other Commissioners include the Hon P J Patterson of Jamaica (chairman), Ambassador Farooq Sobhan of Bangladesh, and ex-President Vasiliou of Cyprus.

 The Ramphal Centre was registered as a UK charity and non-profit company in 2007, to honour the contribution of Sir Shridath Ramphal, Commonwealth Secretary-General, 1975-1990. The Ramphal Centre has 22 distinguished Patrons (including Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew) of the Ramphal Centre and is served by a Centre Committee in London, and two Trustees.
