Large-Scale Online Assessment
Dr Seow Teck Keong, Senior Lecturer, Department of Biological Sciences, successfully conducted a ‘bring your own notebook’ online e-assessment for LSM1301 on 22 November 2013. 672 students took this e-assessment, which was held at University Town utilizing the University’s wifi infrastructure. All students were requested to bring their own notebooks (BYOD) for this e-assessment. CIT facilitated and supported the technical and IT infrastructure needed for the e-assessment.
CIT team gets Gold at International Convention on QC Circles 2013
Nik Azizi BIN MAT ZIN and LEOW Sin Lak did CIT proud by claiming the Gold Award of Excellence for their presentation about the Webcast@Work IQ project at the International Convention on QC Circles (ICQCC) 2013 in Taipei.
One of six teams from NUS, Nik and Sin Lak shared about how they reduced the time taken to process webcast requests.

Active Learning Classrooms at Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and School of Computing
CIT has launched two more Active Learning Classrooms in collaboration with the School of Computing and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
To date, CIT has launched fifteen Active Learning Classrooms across the Faculties and Schools since this project was launched in December 2011.

CIT and Computer Centre thank all students who participated in iCreate 2013
This annual competition encourages NUS students to develop mobile applications to improve the experience of student life for NUS students. To date about 50 mobile applications have been created for student by students. This year's prize award ceremony was held on 6 August. The iCreate 2013 organizers would like to thank all the participants and especially the winners for this competition. View the apps developed by the participants.
