The National University of Singapore was involved in the Adobe Higher Education Leadership Forum. This two day forum took place on 28 & 29 Sept, featuring technological ingenuity in teaching and learning as well as research and administration.

NUS contributed significantly to the forum. Chew-Goh Swee Wah, Assistant Director (User Support & Web Management), Computer Centre and Narayanan Shyam, Manager (Courseware Development), Centre for Instructional Technology gave a two-part presentation: The impact and value of digital communication in a Global Knowledge Enterprise. Mrs Chew-Goh covered NUS IT Services and Facilities, while Mr Shyam shared about CIT's educational technology services.
The presentations were well-received and gave an insight into the University's continual effort to be at the forefront of technological application in all aspects of university life.
The second day of the forum reflected NUS's leadership in IT and educational technology. NUS hosted the forum delegates, where they were introduced to Computer Centre's Research and Grid Computing Initiative at NUS.
Delegates also learnt more about CIT's successful deployment of Macromedia Breeze (now Adobe Presenter) in NUS. Associate Professor Victor Tan from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science shared about his experience of using Breeze to help in his teaching.
CIT Director, Ravi Chandran, rounded off the presentations with an introduction to the Integrated Virtual Learning Environment. The visit ended with a campus tour which covered Computer Centre, CIT teaching & learning facilities and NUS Museums at the University Cultural Centre.
