A research assistant position is available now in Assistant Professor Huangwei Zhang’s Group (https://blog.nus.edu.sg/huangwei/) in Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore. The responsibility of this position is to numerically study the noise generation in high-speed jet flows. The solver used in this project will be based on OpenFOAM CFD package (https://openfoam.com/).

The candidate is expected to at least hold a master degree in fluid mechanics, applied mathematics, or related subjects. It is advantageous if he/she is competent in code development using C/C++/Fortran for CFD numerical simulations.

The duration of this position will be firstly six months and can be extended to one year more based on the overall performance. The salary for the this position is based on qualification of the applicant (based on the university policy). Other benefits will also be provided, including medical insurance.

The responsibility of this position is to study detonation dynamics of dilute liquid fuel sprays based on high-fidelity numerical approaches. The candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in combustion, fluid mechanics, or related subjects. It is advantageous if he/she is competent in code development using Fortran/C/C++ for CFD numerical simulations. The duration of this position will be firstly two years (available this summer) and can be extended to one year more based on the overall performance.
