Liew Si Si (Ph.D)

graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Chemistry B.Sc (Honours) in 2009. She joined Prof Yao’s lab in August 2016 as a graduate student to pursue her interest in Chemical Biology. Prior to this, she worked at Albany Molecular Research Inc. (Singapore), Dystar Pte Ltd (R & D) and A*STAR’s Experimental Therapeutics Centre.

Quach Thanh Truong, David (Ph.D)

David received his Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Chemistry with
a second major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Forensics from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has joined Prof. Yao’s research group since August 2016 as a PhD student under the A*STAR graduate scholarship. He is very passionate about the medicinal chemistry of anti-cancer drug-like molecules regarding the design, synthesis and therapeutic evaluation. Besides, he is very keen on how they can help decipher the signaling pathways in human cancer, validate targets as well as elucidate the mechanisms of drug action using chemical biology tools. David often enjoys working out at the gym, swimming and watching movies during his free time. Besides, he also loves hanging out and traveling with his friends.
