Speech: Development of heterostructure catalysts for bio-oil upgrading

Dr Guoqiang Guan is a full professor of Hirosaki University and a fellow of the Engineering Academy of Japan, Japan. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Chemical Engineering from Sichuan University, China and Kyushu University, Japan, in 1990, 1993,1995 and 2004. His research interests include coal and biomass pyrolysis and gasification, biorefinery, heterogeneous catalysts for energy conversion, energy materials and water splitting for hydrogen pro

duction and sustainable energy system. He has published over 490 international peer reviewed papers, 65 patents and 29 book chapters with a H-index of 71 (WoS) and 81(Google Scholar). He is now serving as associate editors of Carbon Resources Conversion, MetalMat Resources Chemicals and Materials, editorial board members of Fuel Processing Technology and other 4 international journals.
