In this last part of the series, we will be going through how to generate customised reports in SciVal. If you need to generate reports regularly, you will find Scival’s reporting feature useful to quickly and easily create reports and sharing it with your stakeholders.
All of the tables and graphs generated in SciVal has the “+ Add to Reporting” button on the top right. You simply need to click on the button to add the particular information to your SciVal report. By selecting the different metrics, you can easily combine them into a single report.
Figure 15: Add to reporting button is available at all the analyses in SciVal. The button can be found on the top right corner of the analysis.
If you would like to add a new researcher or a new metric to your report, you can easily edit your report to make the necessary amendments. Save the report to retain all the changes made if you wish to re-run the report periodically. In addition to that, you can duplicate existing reports or merge multiple reports into a single report using features in SciVal.

You can also select a template provided by SciVal to start creating your report. Or, if you have your own customised report, save it a template to be reused in future.

Last but not least, you can export the report out in either PDF or Microsoft Word. Add an introduction or supplementary information to your exported file to provide more insights to your report!
We’ve come to the end of our blog series on SciVal! Sign up for our upcoming Researcher Unbound workshop on 5 October 10:00 am where we will share more about how you can use SciVal to identify top or potential collaborators and spot research trends.
