NUS Law Open House 2023

C J Koh Law Library opened its doors again to Open House visitors on the 4th March, allowing prospective students and their parents to view one of the largest law libraries in the Asia-Pacific region.

A total of 370 visitors visited the library on the day as part of the Campus Tour Route. Student volunteers guided visitors through the library, showcasing its collection and spaces. Tours started at 12pm until 5pm, with visitors still wanting to catch a tour in the last minutes of closing. This is the year with the highest number of visitors in recent times since COVID-19.

Along with the library tours, a display had also been set up at the entrance of the library to introduce publications by alumni and about alumni under the title With Honours: Publications by NUS Alumni. Publications included biographies of notable NUS Law alumni such as Tommy Koh and influential criminal defence lawyer, the late Subhas Anandan. It also showcased the literary prowess of alumni such as the play, Invitation to Treat and book, Of Whales and Dinosaurs: The Story of Singapore’s Natural History Museum, non-law works by NUS Law professors.
