A Brand New Space @ PH2

Did you know that the Peggy Hochstadt Room in Central Library has undergone a face lift?

Formerly a reading room housing reference materials such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases and standards, it is now a cosy collaboration space equipped with whiteboards and power points. The Peggy Hochstadt room has also been fondly renamed to PH2 for easy reference.

Let’s have a look at some of the new spaces!

Asian-Fusion Chill Out

A big Chinese crafted table that can sit large groups of up to 10, complete with Japanese floor chairs and comfy cushions. Perfect for relaxed group discussions and playing board games.

Cosy Settee
4 cosy collaboration settees are scattered around the room. Accommodates up to 8 people, recommended for those who love to huddle with your team.

Are You Game?
Games promote social activity and help to relax or retrain the mind, depending on what you play. Help yourself to the various game sets found on the trolley near the entrance.

Hideouts By The Window
Who doesn’t love a window seat? These hideout nooks with a view provide quiet spaces for reading, resting and introspection.

There’s more to what you see here. We have different spaces to fit different group sizes and needs. The best part is, no reservation is required. These spaces are on a first-come-first-served basis.

We hope you like our new initiative. Check out PH2 for yourself and tell us what you think!
