My name is Yingtong Zhu and I majored in Economics as an undergraduate in China. Greatly fascinated by wildlife and nature, I then changed to major in Ecology, Evolution & Conservation at Imperial College London, where I studied plant phenology and avian ecology in a tri-trophic ecosystem, and got my masters degrees of science in 2022.

I take interest in interdisciplinary topics and my PhD research would be about developing new tools to integrate biodiversity into corporate decision-making process, with a focus on ESG investment, to promote sustainability and biodiversity conservation. I hope I can make a good combination of Economics and Ecology, what Ive learned in both my undergrad and gradate periods, and contribute to mitigating climate change and the biodiversity crisis.
