A big congratulations to Alyssa and Hai Shu for winning the 1st prize in the “Samsung Solve for Tomorrow” competition coached by Dr. Chen Wei, Dr. Donny Lai, and A/Prof Hou Yi. A dual-junction perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell was connected to an organic carrageenan battery and turned into a 2-part energy system. It is then integrated with a mobile app-assisted asset management system for managing and optimizing the energy system’s operation in real-time.
