Asian Diabetes Prevention Initiative

International Society for Physical Activity and Health’s #8Investments

Physical inactivity is the 4th leading risk factor for death globally, yet it has been called the Cinderella risk factor due to its poverty of policy attention relative to its importance. The International Society for Physical Activity and Health’s #8Investments support the WHO’s Global Action Plan on Physical Activity’s target for a 15% relative reduction in the global prevalence of physical inactivity in adults and in adolescents by 2030.

INFORMAS (International Network for Food and Obesity / non-communicable Diseases Research, Monitoring and Action Support) is a global network of public-interest organisations and researchers that aims to monitor, benchmark and support public and private sector actions to create healthy food environments and reduce obesity and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and their related inequalities.
