Project Title: Physical Activity at Work (PAW) project

Background

As health behaviors and associated health outcomes are a concern across many Asian, and considering the long-term goal of PANDA to support relevant research and initiatives in the region, PANDA team members support the PAW project which aims to assess the efficacy of a multilevel intervention on movement behaviors (physical activity and sedentary behavior) in office workers in Thailand (Ministry of Health Thailand; HITAP). Following interventions strategies will be employed: Activity trackers with feedback, short-exercise breaks in the office, poster display, organizational leadership. Activity behaviors will be measured using various methods including accelerometers and questionnaires. The project is led by Dr Cynthia and Prof Yot, and supported by the PANDA team.

Project aim

To assess the efficacy of a multilevel intervention on movement behaviors (physical activity and sedentary behavior) in office workers in Thailand (Ministry of Health Thailand; HITAP).
