NTU Symposium

On 22 Nov Chris participated in the “Showcasing Excellence in Teaching and Learning Symposium 2019” at Nanyang Technological University. The symposium featured speakers from Singapore (NUS, NTU) and Hong Kong (HKU, CUHK, HKUST) sharing their best practices, discussing ongoing efforts to improve teaching, and addressing major challenges to the future of higher education.

Chris gave a talk in a session on “Students as Partners.” He discussed the Home module and the Home on the Dot podcast as an experiment in engaging Students as Partners, while acknowledging some of the roadblocks to fully achieving this ambitious aim. He played a portion of the “Hooray for the Void” episode and shared some of the joys of working with students on the project. Please feel free to contact him if you would like to read the abstract or speak more about the presentation.
