Recruitment Focus: The position involves the design of chiral functional membranes based on advanced porous materials (e.g., MOFs, COFs) for selective separation of chiral molecules in pharmaceutical applications. Applicants with the following research experience will be prioritized:
1) Experience in membrane separations, particularly enantioselective separations.
2) Research background in chiral porous materials (e.g., chiral MOFs, chiral COFs).

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Strong research experience in membrane separations, porous materials, chiral materials synthesis, or enantioselective separations. Proven ability to work independently and conduct high-quality research. Excellent collaboration, communication, and English writing skills.

Application Instructions: Interested applicants are encouraged to email CVs to Prof. Zhao (chezhao@nus.edu.sg) with the subject line: Postdoc Application-Your University-Your Name

We look forward to receiving your application!

We are seeking highly motivated candidates to undertake doctoral studies with us. Our group is focused on the development and engineering of advanced porous materials (APMs) in order to address pressing global challenges in areas including clean energy and environment sustainability. APMS, such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs), have become the frontier in materials research due to their tunable porosities and versatile chemical compositions. Candidates will join a dynamic team with an established track record in the study of micro- and mesoporous materials, including synthetic procedures, characterization, and integration into functional devices and membranes for various engineering applications, such as natural gas storage, CO2 capture, chemical sensing, seawater desalination, and organic solvent nanofiltration. Prospective PhD candidates can apply for scholarships such as ISEP Scholarship, NUS Research Scholarship, A* Star Graduate Scholarship, and SINGA Scholarship.
