Turnitin paper submission degradation resolved

You may have experienced issues with uploading to Turnitin and viewing Turnitin submissions. This was the result of a service degradation affecting the performance of Turnitin Feedback Studio.

The degradation occurred from Monday 17 September, 0830 hrs to Tuesday 18 September, 0205 hrs (17 hours 35 minutes).

Turnitin has resolved the issue and apologizes for causing the inconvenience.

Turnitin and iThenticate maintenance from Sat 22 Sep, 2300 hrs to Sun 23 Sep, 0730 hrs

Turnitin and iThenticate will not be available from Saturday 22 September, 2300 hrs to Sunday 23 September, 0730 hrs (8.5 hours) due to planned maintenance.

This is also applicable to Turnitin submission folders in IVLE.

You may have noticed that some Turnitin customers recently experienced intermittent service interruptions or degradation. Turnitin apologises if you were one of the customers affected, and they are happy to report that their services are currently stable.

To prevent further issues of this nature, Turnitin will be performing some proactive emergency maintenance that will temporarily disrupt their services.

Users will not be able to submit and grade during this maintenance window, so please ensure that any submission deadlines are adjusted to fall outside of the window.

NUSIT Notifications of IT Services Interruption due to Disaster Recovery (DR) Drill between 14 Sep (Fri), 10pm to 16 Sep (Sun), 4am

To ensure our readiness in the event of unforeseen disasters, NUSIT will be conducting IT Disaster Recovery Drills on the following dates:

IT DR Drill Phase 2 15 Sep 2016 (Sat) – 8pm 16 Sep 2016 (Sun) – 4am

 

You may experience intermittent service interruptions up to 30 minutes during the drill period. Please avoid accessing the affected services or retry after 30 minutes during this time.

For faculty that have student assignments or assessments during this period, please take urgent note of this DR Drill period and inform your students to submit their assignments or assessments early.

If possible, CIT would like to recommend moving the assignment deadlines and assessment dates after the completion of IT Drill Phase 1 and 2.

NUSIT Care Counter Service will be temporary relocated to U-Town Visitor Centre (Stephen Riady Centre Level 1) on Sat, 15 Sep 2018 from 8.30 am to 1 pm. NUSIT service at Level 1 Computer Centre will resume on Mon, 17 Sep 2017.
