NUS Campus Life Bucket List

A bucket list is a list of things to accomplish before you die, or in this case, graduate from NUS. Three to four years of undergraduate studies may seem endless but time goes by really quickly. Besides studying, there is much to do in NUS, and here are our suggestions!

#1 Swim in UTown’s own infinity pool

It is safe to say that the hype for infinity pools isn’t going away any time soon. As an NUS student, you have easy access to the one at UTown. It is free and very Insta-worthy!

#2 Visit the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum

As NUS students, we have free admission to this museum. This highly rated museum (4.8/5 on Facebook, 4.3/5 on Google, and 4/5 on TripAdvisor) will provide a couple of hours of fun, as well as numerous photo opportunities!

#3 Eat at every canteen in NUS

We may not admit it but we are, in fact, spoilt for choice when it comes to food in NUS. There is a grand total of 48 food courts, cafes, and restaurants here. If you ever feel sick and tired of eating the same thing at your faculty canteen, why not head to another canteen and try something new?

#4 Apply for an NUS overseas opportunity

NUS offers many global programmes for its students. If you long to travel the world and explore more exotic places, definitely check out the International Relations Office (IRO) website for more information. There is the Student Exchange Programme, and many other summer programmes in your country of choice. Or you could also check out the NUS Overseas Colleges, where you can dive headfirst into the world of entrepreneurship while living in places like Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Stockholm and Israel. You’ll get to travel, befriend other NUS students and people from around the world during your stint, and most importantly, get to immerse yourself in an entirely new culture.

#5 Chill at Town Green

Having a no-frills chill out session is always fun, because it’s so easy to organise. Grab a couple of friends, some snacks and just lounge around the grass at Town Green! If you are afraid of the heat, Town Green is open 24/7. Late-night heart-to-heart conversations tend to be memorable, and sometimes cathartic too.
