While everyone has their favourite brands and flavours, the NUS Res Life team has a few tips to spice up your everyday instant noodle supper.
- Cook the noodles by boiling in water (as per normal) but hold the sauces/flavouring and save it for later.
- When the noodles are cooked, drain the water.
- Quickly add an egg and the sauces/flavouring. Mix it all together!
- Add a piece of sliced cheese to level up your supper.
And there you have it: a quirky twist to your average instant noodle supper – try it out and let us know what you think. On your next trip to the supermarket, grab any vegetables/mushrooms that are on sale, and you can add them to your noodles next time too, to up the healthy factor in your supper!

- You can also boil it longer – 10 minutes if hard-boiled eggs are more your thing, and make devilled eggs for a special treat. Click here for 30 ways to make simple devilled eggs!
