Biography

Dr Rajalingam originally trained and worked as an engineer but his calling is education, and since 2004 he has been a teacher, faculty developer and scholar in higher education. He received his Ph.D. is in Education Psychology from Monash University, Australia in 2011. He became a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2022.

Dr Rajalingam joined NTU in 2012 as one of the pioneer staff members at the new School of Medicine, where he took on various faculty and management positions culminating in the role of Assistant Dean for Educational Development, responsible for pedagogy, faculty development and digital learning. Since 2020, he has been the leading the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Pedagogy at NTU. The centre is responsible for university wide faculty development, through learning and teaching focused courses workshops, conferences and research grants.

The focus of his own scholarship is Team-Based Learning and the evolving roles of teachers in higher education.
