Greetings!

Welcome to NUS GeoSpatialX Lab! We are a research group within the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The GeoSpatialX Lab conducts research that integrates geospatial big data, spatial analytics, geovisual analytics, complex system, statistical modeling, and AI methods to explore natural and social phenomena in geographical space. We are eager to apply our expertise to address some of the most critical challenges facing the world. Research areas range from spatial epidemiology, international trade and supply chain, energy crisis, food security, climate change, and so on.

Missions

  • Conduct basic scientific research in GeoSpatial Data Science as well as address the real-world challenges.
  • Provide training to students, researchers, professionals, and citizens to gain interdisciplinary skills across GIScience, big data, and application domain knowledge.
  • Engage with communities, stakeholders, and industrial partners to make the real-world impact research.

Products

As a research lab, our major products are knowledge in the form of peer-reviewed publications. Meanwhile, we will keep our work open access with a list of projects and their source codes in the GitHub of the GeoSpatialX Lab.

Join our lab

We are always looking for self-motivated members who are interested in our research to join in our lab. Please feel free to contact Dr. Luo Wei.
