About Me

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science (DSDS) at the National University of Singapore. You can reach me at tiong_wee_lim at nus dot edu dot sg.

In Semester 1 AY2024/2025, I am teaching ST4250 Multivariate Statistical Analysis. ST4250 is a major elective course for the Statistics primary major and second major programmes, an (elective) course in List DS 1 of the Data Science specialisation for the Statistics primary major programme, and an (elective) course in the Statistical Methodology specialisation for the Data Science and Analytics primary major programme.

I have been Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) in the Faculty of Science since January 2023.

In my previous role as Deputy Head (Academic) of DSDS, I managed various undergraduate programmes: Statistics (major) since 2008, Data Science and Analytics (major) since its inception in 2016 and Data Science and Economics (cross-disciplinary programme) since its inception in 2021. I played a substantial role in setting up the DSA and DSE programmes.

I received my BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Imperial College London and PhD in Statistics from Stanford University.
