Calling all creative minds! Are you an aspiring video content creator or have a passion for creating engaging video content? Get ready to showcase your talent and make a difference in a fun and engaging way through our Short Form Creative Video Competition!

Objective:
The objective of this competition is to promote slip, trips, and falls awareness in an innovative and entertaining manner. We invite participants to create short videos that effectively convey the importance of preventing slips, trips, and falls, and inspire others to take action.

Duration:
The competition will run from 1 August 2023 to 4 Sep 2023. This allows participants ample time to plan, create, and submit their creative videos. Shortlisted videos will be selected for public voting and posted on ORMC’s YouTube channel from 6 to 15 Sep 2023. The number of Likes for each video will determine the popularity score component of the judging criteria.

Eligibility:
The competition is open to all current NUS Staff and Students. Whether you’re a aspiring content creator or a student with a creative flair, everyone is encouraged to participate and share their unique perspectives on slip, trips, and falls awareness.

Submission Guidelines:
Participants are required to create a short video of duration not more than 2 minutes, that addresses slip, trips, and falls awareness. The videos can be in any format and genre, including animation, live-action, or a combination of both. The submission link for the video competition will be made available on the campaign microsite from 1 Aug 2023.

Themes and Topics:
Participants can explore a wide range of themes and topics related to slip, trips, and falls awareness, in particular addressing human factors such as distractions, rushing, inattentiveness to environmental situations. This can include highlighting common causes of accidents, demonstrating preventive measures, showcasing personal experiences, or even incorporating humor to engage the audience.

Prizes and Recognition:
Exciting prizes and recognition will be awarded to the winning entries. Winning videos may also be showcased on various platforms, such as websites, social media channels, or even in public awareness campaigns.

Judging and Selection:
A panel of qualified judges will evaluate the shortlisted entries based on the following criteria:

  1. Creativity / Originality
  2. Relevance to the topic
  3. Storytelling
  4. Technical Quality
  5. Popularity (based on YouTube likes)

The judging process will be fair and impartial, ensuring that all entries are given due consideration.
