Biography

Sanjay was born in Calcutta, India. He received his B.Stat (Bachelor of Statistics) and M.Stat (Master of Statistics) degrees from the Indian Statistical Institute in 1998 and 2000, respectively. On graduation in 2000, he joined the Department of StatisticsUniversity of Washington, Seattle as a graduate student. He finished his Ph.D. dissertation in Seattle under the supervision of Prof. Michael D. Perlman and Prof. Thomas S. Richardson in 2005. Sanjay is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at the National University of Singapore.

Research interests :

Development and analysis of statistical methodologies, in particular, based on Empirical Likelihood; Analysis of complex survey data; Order restricted inference; Graphical Markov models; Survival analysis; Application of statistics to real-life problems.
