NUS Psychology Alumnus Chan Wei Ling is Youngest SIMI-Certified Mediator at Ministry of Law’s Community Mediation Centre

NUS Psychology ’07 alumnus Chan Wei Ling has been featured in a video by the Ministry of Law as the youngest SIMI-certified mediator at the Community Mediation Centre (CMC).

When pursuing Psychology as her first degree at our department, Wei Ling developed an interest in human behaviour and was motivated to volunteer at the CMC since 2014. In this video, Wei Ling debunks mediation-related myths and shares her thoughts on the mediation process:
I’ve always been interested to know how parties view conflicting issues from their perspectives, and I thought that by becoming a mediator, it allows me to understand their perspectives and to see what common ground we can allow them to come together in order to resolve their conflicts.”
