Q: What will be the registration costs of NWAV-AP 6, now that it is going virtual?
Registration is free for all at NWAV-AP 6. You may register for the conference here.
Q: What can I expect at NWAV-AP6?
The conference will be taking place virtually from 17-20 February 2021, and will feature over 85 presentations, including a pre-conference workshop and talks from three plenary speakers.
Q: What platform will NWAV-AP 6 be hosted on?
The conference will be hosted on the Whova platform.
Q: What is the format of the paper presentations?
Each presentation will consist of a 20-minute pre-recorded talk, followed by a 10-minute live Q&A. Both of these segments of the presentation will be hosted on Whova.
Q: What is the workshop about?
The pre-conference workshop, titled “Digital technologies in Austronesian language documentation and e-learning”, will be conducted by Dr. D. Victoria Rau and her team, from the National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan. The workshop is open to all interested participants.
Q: Is there technical support available for Whova?
Yes, additional support for Whova can be found here, or you can email support@whova.com.
Q: Is Whova accessible in my country?
Whova uses Vimeo to host pre-recorded videos, and Zoom to host livestream Q&As. Our understanding is that, while Zoom is widely accessible, accessing Vimeo may be more difficult in certain regions.
