Wei Maoguo
Wei Maoguo has been a key policy maker for Hainan’s health system strengthening. With international education and overseas experiences, he has been put in a large variety of important positions, as detailed below. Now Wei Maoguo is in charge of the everyday operation of the Hainan Health Reform Office, and helps re-design the province’s health care through a large World Bank loan. Nationally, he is active in health reforms and has evaluated many health care projects across China. He is also one of the senior executives enthusiastically helping establish Hainan Healthcare Security Administration, which plays a significant role in Universal Health Coverage.
