Tim Oei

Tim Oei is a lawyer by training and profession. With more than 10 years of experience in the social service, community and healthcare sectors, he took the helm of National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in August 2017.

With a strong passion to support the underprivileged, Tim has devoted himself to making an impact through care transformation and integration in the renal landscape. He advocates for a holistic care approach by connecting NKF care services with other community care services to achieve a seamless and integrated approach to deliver the best clinical outcome for kidney patients, with the objectives of rehabilitating and reintegrating kidney patients back into the society to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.

With the alarming rise in cases of kidney failure, Tim firmly believes that education and prevention, with the aim to engage and empower the community to make positive changes in their lives, can enable a better tomorrow and a future that is free of kidney disease.

Tim is a Board member with Caregiver Alliance as well as a member of its Programmes and Services Committee. He is currently the Chairman of the Community Care Manpower Committee under AIC. He has previously served on the Charity Council taskforce for the Review of the Code of Governance in 2015, and is currently serving on the Steering Committee of the Lim Choon Guan Endowment Fund, as well as the Toteboard Overseas Scholarship Evaluation Panel.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration in Legal Practice from Nottingham Trent University.
