Sangeeta Singh

Sangeeta Singh is an Indian Administrative Service Officer in the Union of India (Uttar Pradesh cadre) with 26 years of experience, and is currently heading the implementation of Ayushman Bharat in Uttar Pradesh as the CEO of State Health Authority. Under her leadership, the scheme was launched in the state in Sept 2018, and in the last 8 months, has seen excellent pick-up and adoption of the ‘health assurance’ scheme in the largest state of the country. With 11.8 million beneficiary families and around 60 million individual beneficiaries, she has a huge responsibility on her head.

She also has a previous health insurance experience with the implementation of Rashtirya Swsthya Bima Yojana – an earlier Govt health insurance scheme.

Other than health, she has served as Secretary NEDA (Renewable Energy Society in Uttar Pradesh) and saw the uptake of solar and LED lights increase across the state. Her targeted approach to implementation helped the state receive several awards for efficacy in UP, from the Government of India. Other posts held by her include – Special Secretary Labour, District Magistrate Sultanpur etc.
