Niki O’Brien

Niki O’Brien is an Assistant Project Manager, responsible for project management across iDSI and GHD projects, including management of budgets and contracts with our delivery partners, at the Global Health and Development Group. She has more than five-years of experience working for NGOs, focusing primarily on global health and international development. Prior to joining GHD, Niki taught two Global Health BSc modules at Queen Mary University of London, and worked for the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists, where she developed expertise in research and policy development in the areas of global surgery and human resources for health. Her primary interests are the social determinants of health in low-income countries, ensuring equity is a key consideration in health system scale-up as part of UHC. She holds an MSc in Health Systems and Global Policy from Queen Mary University London and a BA in History/History of Art (Joint Hons) from University of Glasgow.
