Background and current projects

I graduated with a MSc and BSc from NUS. My BSc project investigated behavioural acoustics in land hermit crab Coenobita pseudorugosus while my MSc dissertation examined the ecology and conservation of Macrobrachium shrimps in tropical Southeast Asia.

Presently, I am the assistant manager of SIGNIFY: A Digital Archive of Singapore’s Historical Biodiversity project under the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, which aims to archive and build a bibliographic/digital database of species described from Singapore.
