Background and current projects
I completed my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Ocean Science from The National University of Malaysia (UKM). For my Master’s thesis, I studied the bioacoustics of snapping shrimps (Family: Alpheidae) and examined the effects of temperature and pH on the peak frequencies of the snapping sounds. I dive regularly and was an inshore commercial diver before I joined the lab.
I am currenty working on a project that aims to investigate the trophic interactions of the aquatic communities in Singapore’s reservoirs.
