Background and current projects
As an undergrad, I studied the taxonomy of assassin bugs (Reduviidae) for a UROPs project and researched the occurrence and distribution of the widely introduced reduviid Zelus renardii for my honours project (FYP) (papers in prep). I did my FYP with the FIB lab which expanded my knowledge and interest in freshwater ecology research.
I’m currently a research assistant in a project investigating the trophic interactions of aquatic communities in Singapore’s reservoirs, and continue to research reduviid taxonomy at the Lee Kong Chian Museum of Natural History in my free time.
Research interests
- Macroinvertebrate ecology
