  1. APRU SWM Global ESG Lecture Series from May to December

          Held from May to December 2023, this Lecture Series is designed to provide a sound                     foundation in basic principles and unify research across ecology to conservation and                       environmental health to waste management with a focus on sustainability and                                   Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

     2. UN SDG Primer Course

The SDG Primer aims to establish a common base of understanding and approach for                      the  UN system in supporting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Tokyo Forum 2022” (Dec1-2)

University of Tokyo who is a member of IARU that NUS is part of, is hosting the Tokyo Forum 2022 in-person and online. Themed “Dialogue between Philosophy and Science: In a World Facing War, Pandemic, and Climate Change”, the “Tokyo Forum 2022” will bring together experts from diverse backgrounds to freely exchange information and opinions on issues facing society and our planet, while seeking out and proposing viable solutions. Future Sustainability Leaders programme

The FSL is one of the initiatives launched under the aegis of the Youth 4 Sustainability programme conducted by Masadar which is a subsidiary focussed on renewable energy of the UAE sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Company. Beginning at the ADSW, the FSL is a year-long programme that help university students and young professionals to learn about the latest best practices on sustainable development.  FSL participants are expected to participate in online training courses and meeting, attend major events on sustainable development such as ADSW and take part in innovation challenges related to UN Sustainable Development Goals and the UAE National Agenda

International Holocaust Remembrance Day in Singapore

The NUS Global Relations Office and the NUS College of Humanities and Sciences invite you to join us at the live broadcast of the upcoming International Holocaust Remembrance Day in Singapore.  This annual memorial service is organised as part of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) which unites governments and experts to strengthen, advance and promote Holocaust education, research and remembrance and to uphold the commitments to the 2000 Stockholm Declaration. This year, the Israeli and Greek Embassies and NUS are co-organising this event to commemorate the memory of the victims of the Holocaust.  The date, 27 January 1945, is noted for the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps by the allied forces. This year Greece, holds the Presidency for the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.

The Centre for Language Studies – 20th Anniversary

The Centre for Language Studies is 20 years old!

To commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the CLS’ founding, we have prepared a yearlong of fun-filled celebratory activities which, among other events, will feature free virtual workshops, each one focusing on a different language and culture, and even trial lessons for the thirteen languages offered at the CLS.
