As partner university of the National University of Singapore, the University of Bonn would like to invite graduate and postgraduate students from your institution to a Summer School on Intellectual Property in Bonn.

The Summer School on Intellectual Property addresses graduate and postgraduate students from any field of study. It will take place from July 21 to August 1, 2014. The program is conducted in English.

My name is Sean Widjaja and I am writing on behalf of the Global Engagement Summit (GES), which takes place at our Evanston campus, just outside of Chicago, IL, between April 16th and 20th 2014.

GES is a weeklong capacity building summit for students committed to global change, that includes mentorships, workshops, short talks, outcomes, as well as long lasting connections. Delegates come together to understand the challenges of and opportunities for their engagement and to hone their skills and mindsets that will enable them to better plan, execute, and participate in change-based projects.

Call for application: ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program- year long exchange to Daejon University

This is an announcement on behalf of International Relations Office.

The ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program, previously known as ASEAN Millennium Leaders College Student Exchange Programme is considered as one of the most active cooperation between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea (ROK), successfully implemented since 2002. The program received very positive response and active participation from all ASEAN nations. Subsequently, the AUN Secretariat in collaboration with Daejon University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT), ROK are now ready to launch this year’s ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program 2013/2014.

The ASEAN Leaders Fostering Program 2013 offers full scholarships for students from ASEAN countries to study for one year on exchange at Daejon University, with the opportunity for internship as well. It is specific to students in the field of Information and Communications Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Please note that under the “Reference” section (VI) in the application document,  it should be completed by the SEP coordinator in your major Department rather than IRO. IRO will endorse at the portion of “Authorized Person Signature” on Page 4 subject to the student obtaining recommendation from the SEP coordinator. Please also be aware that you are still liable for NUS fees during the exchange year; this cost is not covered by the programme.

2013 National Chiao Tung University Taiwan Elite Internship Program

This is an announcement on behalf of National Chiao Tung University.

2013 NCTU Taiwan Elite Internship Program is inviting  Master or PhD students from renowned foreign universities to participate in short-term research (at least 2 months) at NCTU (NCTU’s partner university students would have priority).

Qualified students would be offered 1) free round-trip economy class flight ticket from their home country to Taiwan and *2) additional NTD 5,000 scholarship (including 18% tax) during the research period in NCTU.

Call for application- King’s Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Doctoral Training Advanced Methods Summer Institute

We are happy to announce that the King’s Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre (KISS-DTC) at King’s College London, is offering 5 research graduate students a chance to participate in their Summer Institute.

The selection will be on a competitive basis and the award for selected graduate students will include a tuition fee waiver for the individual summer programme as well as up to 4 nights’ of accommodation at KCL Halls of Residences. The NUS International Relations Office is pleased to invite you to apply for the ASEAN in Today’s World (AsTW) 2013 programme, hosted by Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) from 22 February to 8 March 2013.

Who

Full-time NUS undergraduate students who also fulfill the organizers’ criteria (http://www.isc.kyushu-u.ac.jp/astw/appl.html)

What  

AsTW 2013 is an international programme co-organized by Kyushu University (Japan) and Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines), in cooperation with Mahidol University (Thailand) and Fukuoka Women’s University (Japan).

22 February to 8 March 2013 (2 weeks)

Why   

To attend classes in ASEAN studies and Asian languages/cultures, and discover the Philippines through field trips. At the end of the programme, credit and grades will be awarded by Kyushu University and an official transcript will be sent to the participants.

Travel Grant

IRO is pleased to support up to 2 accepted participants with a travel grant to offset the cost of air travel, on a first-come-first-served basis.
