Scottish Universities’ International Summer School 2015

This is a message on behalf of SUISS. Students who are interested can apply to the programme directly.

68th Scottish Universities’ International Summer School (SUISS)

SUISS will run in July and August 2015 and offers a four-week course in Creative Writing and three two-week courses in ModernismScottish Literature and Contemporary Literature at the University of Edinburgh. Please note that next year will see the launch of the Contemporary British and Irish Theatre and Performance course, which will take place for two-weeks during the Edinburgh festivals and be delivered in partnership with the Scottish Playwrights’ Studio.

Students are able to attend a single four or two-week course or a combination of courses. All our courses can be taken for university credits, and can be sought at undergraduate and graduate level.

As ever, the courses will be supplemented by a wide-ranging social and cultural programme, and will include readings by contemporary Scottish authors. The presence of the world’s largest arts festival is always appreciated, while more advanced scholars are also able to make use of the excellent research facilities represented by the Edinburgh University Library and the National Library of Scotland.

*SUISS offers a 20% course fees if 3 or more students from the same university attend the programme. In addition to this, there are also Scholarships opportunities available. More details can be found on the website.
