Event Invitation | Cross Link–A networking event with Japanese companies

CrossLink will be organized on 9 April (Friday), 1300-1600hrs by One&Co, a co-working space by East Japan Railway Company,

CrossLink is an event aiming to connect Singapore university students who are interested in interning / working in Japanese companies, and Japanese companies in Singapore who are keen to hear the voices of local, younger generations. There will be an ideathon on that day with the companies.

Job Description

  • Responsible to tag content from images and rate it accurately.
  • Able to label objects using the right words (and spelling) in Korean or Japanese language.
  • Conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to target audience.

Requirements

  • Basic qualification of Level 1 understanding Korean and Japanese language
  • Ideally, you have previous experience in labelling / annotation tasks, although this is not mandatory.

Depends on the competency required, the language proficiency levels can be either:

  • Conversational – Can understand the main points of standard input on familiar matters, including technical discussions in their field of specialization, including understanding provided work instructions. Can produce clear, connected text on topics which are familiar.
  • Fluent – Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can express themselves spontaneously and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning in more complex situations.
  • Native – Fluent in designated language with a nuanced cultural understanding of the given locale. Currently resides or recently has resided in the given locale for a period of time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Linguistics (or equivalent work experience)
  • Excellent knowledge of structural aspects of language, in particular phonology and phonetic transcriptions
  • Solid understanding of conventional phonetic notation such as IPA, SAMPA, or CMU

3 different work locations:

  • Onsite at customer premises in Singapore
  • Pactera office in Singapore or Malaysia
  • Remotely from anywhere in the world (low priority for us as DGS has a specialized team for remote workers)

Job: Goldman Sachs Asia Pacific – 2021 Summer Analyst Program – Internal Audit Division

The Internal Audit Division ensures that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm’s compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. A major in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, and Engineering is desirable, but essentially they welcome people from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds who are interested in the financial markets. Also, proficiency in Mandarin or Korean language is a plus, while a proficiency in Japanese language is required for those applying for the Tokyo office.

This program is an eight to ten week internship program that will take place in Summer 2021, aiming at students in their penultimate year of study.
