Job Title Intern for Non-Ferrous Metal Department
Location Singapore
In Non-Ferrous Metals, besides trading in aluminium ingots and products, the department harnesses the aluminium value chain by participating in upstream manufacturing operations. The department markets aluminium ingots and billets to various customers in the Asian market and are constantly looking into increasing their participation in the upstream operations to enhance our aluminium value chain.
We are seeking applicants who have a desire to adapt and learn about the business. Selected candidate will have the opportunity to learn about the business processes, be involved in projects and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders and gain real-world experience that is valuable and practical beyond their academia.
Your Role
- Assist Manager in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Project to improve work efficiency to the current workflow
- Understand the current business work flow to identify opportunities for process automation
- Collaborate and communicate with system provider(s) and internal stakeholders to develop and test the RPA system
- Support in the “End-to-end” marketing activities include (but not limited to) seeking out and liaising with suppliers, negotiating and concluding contracts with customers, handling operational issues, claims/complaints, and collection of payments.
- Tabulate and analyze market data for Reporting purpose.
Essential Skills
- Education: 3rd Year/ Final Year Student
- Strong organisational skills, attention to details, excellent level of accuracy and self-starter with good learning mindset
- Good oral, written communication skills and active listening skills.
- Able to work effectively independently with minimal supervision and with other team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access
