Code of Conduct

At AMLaP Asia 2024, the well-being and safety of all attendees, speakers, staffers, and volunteers are paramount. As such, we require everyone to adhere to the following code of conduct, which will be strictly enforced throughout the conference.

AMLaP Asia 2024 is committed to fostering an inclusive and harassment-free atmosphere for individuals of all backgrounds, irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, or appearance. Harassment encompasses various forms, including but not limited to:

  • Making offensive remarks related to race, ethnicity, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, or appearance.
  • Deliberate disruption or interruption of speakers, discussions, or activities.
  • Intimidating behavior towards attendees, speakers, staffers, such as making threats (verbal or physical), following, stalking, or recording without consent.
  • Initiating inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual advances.
  • Encouraging or endorsing any of the aforementioned behaviors.

Should any attendee engage in harassing conduct or disregard posted regulations or verbal instructions, the organizing committee reserve the right to take appropriate action. This may include issuing warnings, ejecting the individual from the event without refund, prohibiting access to AMLaP Asia 2024 premises, barring participation in future AMLaP, and/or involving local law enforcement authorities.

 


Photo Permission

By participating in AMLaP Asia 2024, attendees grant permission to the organizers of the conference to capture photographs and/or video footage during the event. These images may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to website content, social media platforms, marketing materials, and press releases related to the Conference.

Attendees understand that these images may be made available to the public and waive any rights to compensation or ownership.

However, if attendees have concerns about their likeness being used in promotional materials, they may notify the organizing committee in writing (ellbox16@nus.edu.sg) prior to the event, and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate their request.
