Transportation

Getting to Singapore

Although Singapore offers visa-free entry to many countries, all travellers are required to submit their SG Arrival Card before arriving in Singapore.

Getting to NUS

To get to NUS from the airport, you can take a taxi or hail a  Grab to the NUS Kent Ridge campus and UTown. The taxi fares can vary between S$25 to S$45 based on your arrival time and traffic conditions, and it’s worth noting that all Singapore taxis accept credit cards.

Alternatively, you may take the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) subway from the Changi Airport MRT station. Board the train heading to Tanah Merah MRT station and transfer to the Tuas Link-bound East-West Line (green) train. From there, you have several choices:

1. Disembark at Buona Vista MRT station and catch SBS Transit bus #196 to UTown or #95 to the main campus.

2. Disembark at Clementi MRT station and take SBS Transit bus #96 from the Clementi bus interchange or #183 from below the MRT station to UTown or the main campus.

3. Transfer at Buona Vista MRT station to the Harbour Front-bound Circle Line (orange) train and get off at NUS’ Kent Ridge MRT station.

If you opt for public transportation, it is recommended to use a contactless credit or debit card or an EZ-Link stored-value smart card (available at any convenience store or MRT station).

Getting around Campus

NUS offers eleven internal Shuttle Bus Service routes, providing free and frequent transportation that links various parts of the campus. You may download the NUS Next Bus mobile application to get real-time bus schedules and the upcoming bus arrival times in advance.
