My name is Chui Chee Kong, or Chee-Kong Chui (“Chui” is my surname and “Chee Kong” or “Chee-Kong” is my given name). When I was a student in Japan, I wrote my name as “Cheekong Chui” in English, following the naming convention there. I am a mechatronic engineer and an academic. I am interested in the research and development of engineering systems and science as applied to medical and surgical techniques. As much as I like to see the successful application of our medical systems/devices on patients, I also find joy in teaching the engineering and science of these systems and devices, which are also relevant to other industrial applications. I have been leading and participating in non-medical/healthcare related engineering projects.
