Mar 24, Quyang and Xinyu attended and presented their work via oral presentations and posters at the BioInspired Materials 2024 conference held in Löwenstein, Germany. Speical congratulations to Quyang for being awarded the Best Poster Award for his work on “Direct-ink-write (DIW) 3D printing of inorganic-organic composites with bioinspired concentric lamellar microstructure”.
Feb 24, Dr Zhai gave an invited talk and a contributed talk at the 48th International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites in Florida, USA. She also visited and gave talks at UCLA, CUHK, CityU and PolyU.
Jan 24, We kick off the New Year with a team gathering to extend a warm welcome to our new members, Zhang Ning, Cheng Qian and Kexin, as they embark on a year-long visiting study with Zhai Group. Hearfelt farewell to Cao Meng, who is returning to Zhejiang University to complete his PhD degree. Big congratulations to Dr Gan Mingxuan as he begins a new chapter in marine industry.

Dec 23, Zhai Group had a Year-End Party to celebrate a successful year in 2023. In 2023, we published more than 25 papers, with 40% in top 1% journals. Excellent work to all Zhai Group members (current and alumni).

Dec 23, Dr Zhai attended and gave talks at several conferences in China, including the Cell Symposia: Bio-inspired and bio-integrated materials, in Suzhou, the IUTAM Symposium on Soft Matter Mechanics in Ningbo, and the 5th International Conference on Flexible Electronics in Hang Zhou. She also visited and gave talks in Zhejiang University, Ningbo University, SUSTech, HIT (Shenzhen) and Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School.
