A/P Chris McMorran is a cultural geographer in the Department of Japanese Studies and Deputy Chair of the University Promotion on Educator Track Committee (UPEC). He is an NUS Outstanding Educator Award recipient and Fellow of the NUS Teaching Academy. His teaching and research interests focus on contemporary Japan and the geographies of teaching and learning. He is the author of Ryokan: Mobilizing Hospitality in Rural Japan and co-editor of Teaching Japanese Popular Culture. He also co-produced the “Home on the Dot” podcast with NUS students, an exploration of home through the lives of Singapore’s young people.
In this session, he will share keys to outstanding dossiers based on his experience on promotion committees. This is applicable for both educator and tenure-track faculty. Come and join us!
