Thanks again for visiting this ePortfolio. My name is Wan Bo. I am currently a Year 5 student majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy. Although the two subjects sound really logical and precise, I end up writing a thesis on the sense of anti-rationalism in Søren Kierkegaard’s and Zhuangzi’s philosophies. I am also part of the University Scholars Programme (USP) community.

In my free time, I watch way too many films, which can be a good habit and a horrible distraction. I like languages too. I am (hopefully) bilingual in Mandarin and English while still learning some French. The primary motivation for me to be multilingual is to capture those cultural nuances and understand where those culturally specific jokes come from. That is in my opinion the biggest blessing of multilingualism – more jokes and laughs.

I also maintain a personal blog at wanbo.blog. I mostly write (occasionally sarcastic but mostly sincere) film reviews and post abstracts of my academic essays there. You are welcome to drop by as well.
